China’s next-generation subway car was accepted by an expert team in Qingdao, east China’s Shandong province on Dec. 17, marking the latest industry achievements made by China.
The team comprised of 13 experts and scholars from China’s scientific institutions, universities and enterprises.
The next-generation subway car has been developed for future demand. After R&D began in 2015, the subway was assembled last year and completed in-factory testing this June.
This September, it ran on Line 8 of the Guangzhou Metro for route testing and demonstration.
